Strong demand for rentals throughout the Selwyn District

October 15, 2015

We are consistently experiencing strong demand for rental properties within the Selwyn area, particularly through the smaller towns and rural areas throughout the district.

This is particularly evident through Leeston, Dunsandel and Southbridge where there is huge competition among tenants for any available properties.

This is great for property investors, driving up the rental returns on the properties throughout these areas.

Leeston and Doyleston are becoming increasingly popular, due to many families with children at Ellesmere College and with the amenities of Rolleston just 20 minutes away.

Dunsandel and Rakaia are also popular, mid way between Ashburton and Christchuch for people working in either town.

Coalgate, Glentunnel and Whitecliffs are in demand with professional people wanting to live outside of Christchuch and who are quite happy to commute into the central city to work.

We currently have a waiting list of quality tenants wanting to move into many of the above areas.

Rolleston continues to be popular with families and professional people. Although there has been a softening of the rents over the last 12 months, there is still a good pool of quality tenants wanting to move into these properties.

Please do not hesitate in getting in touch with us if you have rental properties available or soon to be available as I have no doubt we will be able to quickly will these with quality tenants, and at a good return.

We know the local market well and being based in locally in Rolleston we can keep a close eye on your properties.
